Another 5 songs about getting older
I just love songs about getting older and wiser. They are so true and compelling. They apply to each every one of us. We might be thin or fat, smart or foolish, extroverted or introverted but there is one thing that we have in common, we all are getting older. So here's few really good songs about growing old and growin' love to you significant other. Enjoy reading.
Alan
Jackson – Remember When
Song
describes his relationship with his wife and how they made it together through
very difficult times but I think everybody can relate it to themselves. Every
relationship has its ups and downs but what matters the most is that at the end
of the day you stay together. My favorite part is: Remember when thirty seemed so old. Now lookin’ back it’s just a
steppin’ stone to where we are, where we’ve been. Said we’d do it all again.
Trace
Adkins – Then They Do
I can’t
relate to this song right now but in several years from now I hope I could.
It’s song for parents and how fast kids are growing up. Chorus of the song is
so true and simple, it really moves me. I’m going to play that song when my
kids will go to college and I’ll cry all day, hahaha. I’m joking right now but
in a few decades in might be true. Then
they do and that’s how it is. It’s just quiet in the morning. Can’t believe how
much you miss. All they do ad all they did. You want all the dreams they dreamed
of to come true. Then they do. If you didn’t feel anything while reading
this you ain’t human you’re a robot, I tell ya.
George
Strait – Troubadour
I think
it’s kinda of song which reflects on the past. I’m still young so I don’t have
many moments from my youth to reflect on but when I’ll be older and maybe wiser
(I don’t think so), I’ll play this song and I’ll think about good ole time that
I had. It will be amazing.
Joey + Rory
– Teaching How To Love You
I must
admit I love almost every love song performed by Joey + Rory. Song “When I’m
Gone” is so beautiful and meaningful especially after Joey death. Rory sings
about his previews relationships and what they thought them how to love that
one and lifetime love “She was teaching
me how to love you. Every hand we hold, every bridge we burn, every story told
is another lesson learned”. So I think moral of this song is that every
fail in previous relationships teaches you how to truly love the love of your
life.
Tim McGraw
– One Of These Days
This song always makes me thinking. It's a
beautiful and sad at the same time. He tells the story about the past when he
treated people badly and now he realizes that it was a huge mistake and one of
these days they could've been good friends. This song appeals to me because I
think that Tim McGraw really means it, I can feel the sadness in his voice.
It's beautiful and it takes my breath away every time I listen to this song.
